Is sibling rivalry turning your home into a battleground?

Time for a cease fire

Who I’ve worked with:

Hey Mama,

Parenting in today’s world is seriously hard work. You are running the home, doing the job, taking care of all the things… but who is taking care of you?

I’m Aunty Ann, an educator and coach with 35 years experience working alongside children and families, while raising 3 kids of my own and navigating the ups and downs of a 25 year marriage along the way.

The most important thing I’ve learned is that when Mama is feeling good, the rest of the family feels good. When Mama is exhausted and stressed, the whole family suffers.

And what do Mamas need to feel good? They need SUPPORT. We were not meant to do this job alone, and especially not with other adults around that add more work instead of helping carry the load. But here we are, in modern society, with Mothers carrying the bulk of the responsibility of raising families, as well as doing all the other million things to keep the wheels turning.

So this is where I come in. I’ve seen it all. I’ve heard it all. I’ve tried every parenting strategy. Nothing phases me. My mission is to straighten your crown and walk beside you as we find the approach to family struggles that brings pleasure, joy, and peace into your home and relationships.

I’m the Aunty that nature intended you to have,

Listening without judgement, always.

Willing to tell you the truth, always.

Challenging you into your next steps, always.

Your chosen family.

Let’s get you feeling good again Mama!

It’s within your grasp to feel pleasure, joy, and peace while raising your family.

  • Imagine finishing work and looking forward to relaxing family time at home.

Home can feel like an exhausting warzone compared to the routine and organisation of work, but it doesn’t have to be this way!

  • Imagine your children being kind and respectful to each other, building a solid life-long relationship.

Sibling Rivalry is like a battle that never ends, a near-constant state of agitation for you and the children. Screen time feels like the only reliable peace agreement, but that doesn’t feel right either.

  • Imagine feeling supported and held by the other women around you.

Instead of giving you unsolicited advice, or telling you it’s not so bad, or complaining about their own problems, the women in your life could be there to listen when things are tough, celebrate when things go well, and offer support, wisdom and experience when asked. This is how parenting was meant to be, supported in sisterhood.

  • Imagine having a partner in your parenting journey, someone you can rely on no matter what.

Our husbands/partners can sometimes feel like another child to care for, rather than being a support. You can take tangible steps to change this dynamic, I’ve been there and can show you how.

These are my Offerings!

I can help because I’ve been there

I’ve had the privilege of supporting thousands of children and families through my work as a teacher, parent mentor and coach.

When my own brother started his family overseas a few years ago, I observed the challenges he faced with the intense sibling rivalry between his daughters, and longed to be on the ground support for my sister-in-law.

I know from raising my own 2 daughters that sisters can be each other's biggest support, or worst nightmare, and often parents (myself included!) don’t realise how their actions contribute positively or negatively.

Even with a Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard, and years of professional experience as an Educational Coach and Mentor, it was chance exposure to the School of Womanly Arts that was the key in solidifying my approach to sibling rivalry. After a rigorous 400 hour training course in this modality, created by women, for women, I am now a certified Pleasure Coach and have been amazed to witness first hand the transformation these tools can bring for women and their daughters.

So grab a hot drink and find a comfortable place to sit amidst the mountains of laundry… Aunty Ann is here to listen and help is on the way.

Tell me more about the School of Womanly Arts

The School of Womanly Arts was founded by Regena Thomashaur after the birth of her daughter over 30 years ago.  She wondered how she might raise her daughter to be a confident, empowered woman who fully embodied her feminine power.  This led her to developing the tools and techniques used in Pleasure Coaching.  Find out more on link

Is this type of coaching a sexual thing?

Pleasure coaching can impact all aspects of a woman’s life, including parenting, career, family, friends, romantic relationships, community, hobbies, health, spirituality, sensuality, and sexuality, etc. etc.!   Whatever you are interested in developing is on the table, but if you are not interested in exploring your sexuality that is 100% OK, it’s totally up to you!

My child is neuro-diverse, do you have experience working with these kinds of kids?  Or adults??

Ah, the spicy super-powers!  I have had the privilege of many, many years of personal and professional experience with neuro-diversity, and great appreciation for the specific challenges that accompany this greatness.  I would be honoured to support you in this journey.

Does coaching really work?  It seems kind of woo-woo.

I hear you!  We as a society understand that coaches are integral to the success of athletes… they aren’t out there on the field kicking the ball for you, but they provide structure and expertise for your continued development.  It’s the same for parenting coaching, a great coach makes all the difference!

So back to that cease fire arrangement…

You’re standing in between two screaming children fighting over who got the bigger piece of cake.

  • Option A: Scream louder

  • Option B: Give them tablet time
